Total System Services Inc., or TSYS, this afternoon reported revenues of $433.2 million for the third quarter ended Sept. 30, up 1% from $428.9 million during the same period last year. Net income fell 10.1%, to $49.7 million from $55.3 million.
North America Services revenue rose 11.5%, to $231.6 million from $261.6 million. Transaction volume totaled 1.66 billion, up 6.4% from 1.56 billion. Accounts on file fell 2.8%, to 293.8 million from 302.2 million.
International Services revenue fell 1%, to $85.3 million from $86.2 million. Volume rose 7.7%, to 322.9 million from 299.7 million, with accounts on file rising 13.8%, to 45.4 million from 39.9 million.
Merchant Services revenue rose 3.8%, to $125.2 million from $90.5 million. Transaction volume fell 7.1%, to 1.34 billion from 1.42 billion.
“Same-client transactions were up 5.3% in North America and up 4.3% in International,” Philip W. Tomlinson, TSYS chairman and CEO, noted in a new release.
