Visa Launches Olympic 'Go' Marketing Campaign

Visa Inc. has launched its first global Olympic marketing campaign, Go World, in advance of the 2010 Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver, Canada, which begins Feb. 12. Visa recently extended its Olympic sponsorship through 2020. The campaign features television, digital advertising, and merchant-activation and card-usage programs to promote Visa products. In the United States, Visa is launching two TV commercials and online advertising. The card brand is giving away a trip for four to Vancouver for Winter Games in a contest for Visa cardholders as part of a national promotion. Visa also launched a Go World Web site that includes exclusive merchant offers, behind-the-scenes Team Visa training videos, photos of athletes and song playlists available for purchase. Similar to Visa's  "Go with Visa" global marketing initiative, the Olympic campaign will be tailored for specific markets, including Canada, Russia, Korea, China and Latin America, Visa says.
