Visa Ready expands to B-to-B software developers

In its continuing expansion of the Visa Ready faster certification program, the card brand is targeting technology companies that develop software for Visa's business-to-business payments services.

Bora Payment Systems, Bottomline Technologies, CSI globalVCard, Mineral Tree and Priority Commercial payments are the first partners to obtain Visa Ready Program for Business Solutions approval.

"B-to-B payments innovation has been fueled by businesses always looking to simplify complexities and time spent associated with paying and getting paid, as well as expense reconciliation," Vicky Bindra, head of global products and solutions for Visa, said in a June 13 press release.

The introduction of the business solutions program allows Visa and technology partners to "quickly and securely bring to life a variety of use cases to meet the unique needs of financial institutions and their corporate businesses," Bindra added.

Visa introduced Visa Ready four years ago as a faster way for technology providers to take the needed steps for certification in the Visa network.

Last year, Visa Ready expanded to include web-connected devices, providing a faster certification process to manufacturers of wearables, automobiles, appliances and other connected devices.

Visa Ready for Business Solutions program participants have access to Visa's tools and services, including the Visa Developer Platform, a commitment the company made in early 2016 to open its network to software developers.

Use cases being developed by business solution partners include faster corporate payments, simplified payment automation, electronic accounts payable solutions, adoption of invoice payments to virtual cards and driving more commercial card adoption to targeted verticals.
