Worldpay rolls out contextually aware fraud tool for merchants

Worldpay is rolling out FraudSight, a new fraud prevention tool that uses machine learning to spot suspicious transactions across all in-store and e-commerce checkout points, according to a Tuesday press release.

FraudSight uses advanced technology to assign deep contextual awareness to each transaction, weighing behavioral and device biometrics along with chargeback reputation and other anomalies, the release said.

Using a mix of technology, data and human insight to rapidly spot potentially fraudulent payment card transactions, FraudSight provides merchants with the option to intensify scrutiny of possible fraudulent transactions when trends indicate high threats, by adding behavioral and device javascript integrations and other third-party data feeds, the release said.

“Managing fraud isn’t just about keeping out all of the bad transactions; you also have to ensure that the good transactions are still getting through," said Asif Ramji, Worldpay’s chief product and marketing officer, in the release.

The solution is available to merchants within the sphere of Worldpay—formerly Vantiv—in North America with no additional integration or development required, the release said.
