Short Takes: 2 Named Senior VPs At Fifth Third Unit

Fifth Third Bank, Cincinnati, has promoted two trust officers to senior vice presidents at its newly renamed investment subsidiary, Fifth Third Investment Advisors.

As head of institutional trust, Sandra L. Lobert is responsible for the employee benefits group, foundation and endowment services, and private banking. She joined the bank in 1973 and the trust division in 1994.

Ronald A. Stahl manages the sale, marketing, development, and administration of personal trust services, and the trust tax and probate areas at the bank. He joined Fifth Third in 1993 after spending 15 years at Mercantile Bank of St. Louis.

The investment unit was previously known as trust and investment services. The new name was adopted in January to more accurately reflect the unit's business, a company spokeswoman said.

The Fifth Third Investment Advisors group has $99.4 billion in assets under care, of which it manages $10.2 billion.
