PointBank in Pilot Point, Texas, is working with fisoc to offer its customers a social media rewards program called BuzzBanking.

The rewards program will provide the $320.8 million-asset PointBank with a social media platform that is designed to increase interactions with customers and reward them with gift cards. When customers share their experiences online, they can earn additional points. Participation in the program is on an opt-in basis.

PointBank has nine branches in Denton County in Texas. Based in Austin, fisoc was launched in June 2010 by the founders of FundsXpress, an online banking network.

"To attract new business, locally owned banks must be able to offer ecommerce services that customers have come to expect from the big banks," Jay Valanju, chief executive of fisoc, said in a news release on Wednesday.
