Pulse Network to Use HP Platform to Increase Processing Power

Discover Financial Services' (DFS) Pulse network will use Hewlett-Packard's (HPQ) Converged Infrastructure to increase its transaction processing capacity.

The debit network worked with HP to develop a strategy that would support almost five times more transaction processing than its previous platform, HP said Tuesday.

Pulse selected a Converged Infrastructure that includes three HP Integrity NonStop NB50000c BladeSystem infrastructure platforms. This offers a combination of servers, networking and storage that easily scales and reduces unplanned downtime, HP said.
