Associated Banc-Corp in Green Bay, Wis., has selected Datacard CardWizard issuance software for instantly issuing debit cards.

The $22 billion-asset Associated is working with Datacard Group, of Minnetonka, Minn., on a phased implementation of this technology, which allows banks to hand out a debit card in a branch the same day the customer opens an account. The bank will roll out CardWizard software and the associated hardware to 150 of its roughly 270 branches by March.

CardWizard is part of Datacard Group's Secure Issuance Anywhere platform.
