Two community banks have recently implemented products, including mobile check capture and a rewards app, from Malauzai Software Inc.

The $1.9 billion-asset City Bank Texas launched in October Malauzai's SmartApp system for a checking rewards program. More than 1,000 customers of the bank in Lubbock, Texas, download the app each week, Malauzai said Tuesday. The app allows customers to get real-time updates on smartphones about rewards earned.

The $494 million-asset Ameriana Bank in New Castle, Ind., also recently launched mobile check capture from Malauzai so customers could deposit checks via their smartphones.

Malauzai is based in Austin, Texas.
