Jack Henry (JKHY) has built remote deposit capture into its mobile banking platform.

The bank technology provider said Thursday it has added its Remote Deposit Anywhere system to versions of goDough banking software for iPhone and Android.

The capability will enable customers of banks who use goDough to deposit checks remotely via compatible smartphones, tablets and scanners.

"We expect goDough will continue to generate strong adoption rates among financial institutions as consumers expect virtually every service that is delivered via online banking to be delivered via the mobile channel," Tony Wormington, Jack Henry's president, said in a press release.

Roughly 610 banks and credit unions use the goDough platform, according to the company.
