Fiserv (FISV) has launched an online portal designed to provide a simpler and more cost-effective way for financial institutions to monitor their performance and risk.

The portal, called Intelligent Workplace, allows banks and credit unions to use accounting, performance management and risk management applications in a single environment, Fiserv said Tuesday. It lets companies access multiple data sources through a single portal rather than on several workstations or servers.

Intelligent Workplace currently supports several Fiserv accounting and risk-analysis applications, and the company will roll out future apps through the portal, according to the news release.

"With Intelligent Workplace, the full spectrum of financial risk, performance and accounting solutions from Fiserv will be available in an easy-to-use, customizable portal. Furthermore, this portal better supports an enterprise performance management perspective — the convergence of traditional financial risk management and financial performance management," Danny Baker, vice president of product management for risk and compliance at Fiserv, said in the news release.
