GreenSQL has introduced security software for users of Amazon's (AMZN) cloud.

The database security company based in Tel Aviv, Israel said Wednesday that its system for Amazon's Relational Database Service lets companies secure their databases in both fully hosted and hybrid models.

GreenSQL says its technology blocks malicious software, protects personally identifiable information and intellectual property, accelerates performance and installs easily.

"Cloud databases don't inherently have sufficient security to provide peace of mind or meet regulatory requirements," Amir Sadeh, GreenSQL's chief executive, said in a press release. "Our technology mitigates the inherent security risks of adopting cloud-based technology, proactively preventing data theft and continuously protecting database assets from both external and internal threats."

GreenSQL belongs to Amazon's partner network.
