Capital One Hires Energy Markets Whiz from Citi

Capital One Financial in McLean, Va., has hired a Citigroup veteran to lead its alternative energy and project finance group.

George Revock joins the $297 billion-asset Capital One Bank as a managing director in its capital markets group, the company said Thursday. The company could not immediately be reached for details regarding who previously held the position.

Revock is based in New York and reports to Spencer Gagnet, managing director of capital markets.

Revock joined Capital One after 13 years with Citigroup, where he was an advisor for structured financings in the energy industry. He previously worked for Deloitte, where he advised energy clients.

Revock "brings a wealth of experience to Capital One Bank," Gagnet said in the news release. "He is a great fit with our organization, and his professionalism and expertise will help us deliver superior performance to clients who look to us for industry expertise and solutions that meet their unique needs."

Capital One has been building out its commercial specialty-finance groups in the past year. In August it hired bankers from JPMorgan and Barclays to run its energy investment banking and energy debt-capital markets group.
