F&M Bank in Virginia Names CFO, Promotes Six More

F&M Bank Corp. (FMBM) in Timberville, Va., has named new chief financial and administrative officers at its bank unit as part of a series of promotions.

Carrie Comer was named senior vice president and chief financial officer of the $566 million-asset Farmers & Merchants Bank, F&M said Thursday. She is currently serving as vice president and controller and has been with the bank since 2001.

Neil Hayslett, the bank's current CFO, will become chief administrative officer. He has had been bank CFO since 2007; earlier, he was CFO at the holding company.

F&M announced five other promotions at the bank: Stephanie Shillingburg was named executive vice president, heading retail sales; Josh Hale was named senior vice president and business development leader; Kate Pascarella was named vice president and senior credit officer; Krista Suter was named vice president and senior risk officer; and Keith Deeds was named assistant vice president and facilities manager.

"As a result of these changes we will be better positioned to achieve growth opportunities resulting from an improving economy and recent announcements by other banks in our respective market areas," F&M President and Chief Executive Dean Withers said in a news release.
