Technology News Briefs: Hackers Hit Western Union Website

Hackers have stolen information on credit and debit card numbers from 15,700 customers of Western Union, according to the company. Stolen were the account numbers of those customers who transferred money using the company's website at westernunionmoneyzap.com. Visa and MasterCard have been informed and are monitoring activity. Western Union said the problem was caused by human error and not a technical flaw in its system.
