Negative Tone Is Disappointing

I am disappointed with the tone of the CU Journal report of our May 21 announcement about our pending merger with US Alliance CU. We are pleased to be joining with an organization whose 57-year history of service to government employees and other Denver area residents parallels ours in commitment to the best interests of our respective members.

The fact that Ent participated at the invitation of the NCUA in consideration of assuming responsibility for the operation of Norlarco Credit Union is entirely unrelated to our friendly merger with US Alliance.

Since perception often trumps reality in how people react to situations, your report leaves an entirely incorrect perception. It might have been avoided if the writer had contacted us before committing to print. I look forward to that opportunity in the future.
