In Helena, Mont., Shodair Children’s Hospital unveiled its newly renovated garden with a garden party. The garden is sponsored by Montana’s Credit Unions. Shodair is Montana’s only Children’s Miracle Network Hospital.

In Manchester, N.H., the McGregor Street headquarters of St. Mary’s Bank was awarded LEED Gold certification. The LEED rating system, developed by the U.S. Green Building Council, is the foremost program for buildings, homes and communities that are designed, constructed, maintained, and operated for improved environmental and human health performance.

Scholarships awarded

Montgomery County Employees FCU, Germantown, Md., sponsored two Maryland Hispanic Achievement Scholarships, which were awarded at the County Executive’s Hispanic Gala. The two local college students receiving the scholarships are Gabriela Huaman, a student at the University of Maryland, and Hellen Huaman Vergara, who attends Carroll Community College.

Mountain America CU, West Jordan, Utah, awarded more than $14,000 in grants to teachers and PTA professionals in K-12 classrooms. The Mountain America Credit Union PTA Grants were awarded to nine educational professionals, including teachers and PTA leaders. Up to $1,500 was awarded to each grant winner. To be eligible, recipients had to be members of both Mountain America and their local PTA.
