Akcelerant Unveils Software for Collection Efforts

Akcelerant announced Thursday that users of its financial account management platform can now check the status of loans that have been turned over to Grant & Weber for collection.

The companies said they have designed a connector for Akcelerant's Framework system that enables lenders to receive daily reports on the status of the delinquent accounts.

Trevor Simms, chief business developer for Grant & Weber, said in a press release "the connector eliminates the need for timely preparation and exporting of accounts manually."

Northwest Federal Credit Union in Herndon, Va., is the first financial firm to use the connector, according to the companies. The feature has enabled Northwest Federal "to run a variety of reports and views based solely on the charge off accounts that Grant & Weber has worked …providing us full visibility to all of our accounts," said Phil Frye, a technical specialist with the credit union.

Users of the connector also can view notes by attorneys whom Grant & Weber retains to pursue collections in the courts. The feature lets users "create an optimal work environment by outsourcing delinquent accounts to Grant & Weber," added Eric Snyder, Akcelerant's executive vice president of business development.
