The security vendor Arcot Systems Inc. has made its suthentication technology compatible with software from Oracle Corp.
Arcot, of Sunnyvale, Calif., said Monday that it has integrated its WebFort authentication software into Oracle's Access Manager to boost security during the login process.
Access Manager is part of the Redwood Shores, Calif., database company's Identity Management suite of security products.
Arcot said that its customers would benefit through easy use of other Oracle-compatible security products.
Oracle calls the vendors that have made their software work with its own the Oracle Extended Identity Management Ecosystem, and says that the large group of interoperable products provides users with a broad pool of options.
Ram Varadarajan, Arcot's president and chief executive, said in a press release that his company's security technology "adds a layer of strong authentication to Oracle's common security framework."
