Commerce Bancshares Inc. of Kansas City, Mo., is offering its customers alerts using technology from Online Banking Solutions Inc. of Atlanta.
The vendor said Monday that Commerce Bank is using its OBS Online Messenger application to notify corporate customers of account activity, such as positive pay exceptions, controlled disbursement, and wire transfers.
The $15.5 billion-asset Commerce Bancshares is considering offering additional alert services, depending on customer demand. Its controlled disbursement customers will receive daily e-mails that include presentment totals, along with real-time notices of wire transfers.
"The market is moving towards an event-based delivery model, placing a greater emphasis on up-to-the-minute information. The Web is a great inquiry tool, but there is no substitute for automated delivery of transaction advices as they occur," Joe Spatarella, Online Banking Solutions' vice president of sales and marketing, said in a press release.
