FIS Elects Frank Martire Chairman

Fidelity National Information Services Inc. (FIS) has elected Frank Martire, who has been its chief executive since 2009, to the chairman's seat.

He succeeds William P. Foley II, who is staying on the board as the vice chairman, FIS said Monday. Gary Norcross, the chief operating officer, has added the title of president, which previously belonged to Martire.

"These appointments, which advance the company's succession planning, also reflect the depth and strength of our leadership team and our ability to promote from within," Foley said in a press release.

FIS' also said that Mike Hayford, the company's chief financial officer, will add responsibility for merger and acquisition activity. Brent Bickett, the core banking system vendor's vice president of corporate finance, will move to FIS' former parent company, Fidelity National Financial, Inc.
