The mobile banking technology vendor Tyfone Inc. has appointed Mike Noble, a veteran Wells Fargo & Co. banker, to its board.

Mr. Noble retired from Wells in May 2006 as an executive vice president and the chief operating officer of Wells Fargo Services Co., which provides payments and operations services to the San Francisco company's wholesale and retail banking groups, Tyfone said Tuesday.
Tyfone, of Portland, Ore., offers software for mobile banking, mobile contactless payments, and merchant marketing services. Its clients include Bank of Oswego in Lake Oswego, Ore.
