Geezeo, Access Softek to Combine Money Management, Mobile Banking Apps

Software makers Geezeo and Access Softek are teaming to offer money management tools that banks can deliver to customers via smartphones and other mobile devices.

The partnership combines mobile banking software from Access Softek with personal finance software from Geezeo to let financial institutions offer customers the ability to track spending and saving on the go, the companies said Thursday.

"When you can manage your budget in real time as you spend money instead of updating it belatedly at home, your results are more complete and accurate," Chris Doner, Access Softek's chief executive, said in a press release. "We expect more people will use [personal financial management] when it's mobile."

"We're excited that when development is complete, Geezeo's [personal financial management] tools will be available to Access Softek's 300-plus clients and the more than two million users they serve," Bryan Clagett, Geezeo's chief marketing officer, added.

Geezeo, which was founded in 2006, counts Regions Bank (RF), Movenbank and Baltimore's 1st Mariner Bank (FMAR) among its customers.

Clients of the Berkeley, Calif.-based Access Softek include banks, credit unions and varied companies on the Fortune 500 list.
