Mashreq psc, a United Arab Emirates banking company, has agreed to use mobile point of sale terminals from Hypercom Corp.

Mashreq, of Dubai, made a "significant order" for the new Optimum M4100 terminal, Hypercom said Tuesday. It will deploy the device, also called a Blade, at retail locations throughout the UAE.
Hypercom, of Phoenix, said this would be the first use of the mobile card reader in the United Arab Emirates.
Mashreq is one of the UAE's oldest commercial banks. It was founded in 1967 as Bank of Oman Ltd.
