Marshall & Ilsley Corp., which owns the Endpoint Exchange image exchange network, has connected its M&I Bank to The Clearing House Payments Co. LLC's SVPCO Image Payments Network.
The Clearing House announced the connection Monday.
Almost two dozen financial companies, mainly large banking companies, use the SVPCO network, which carried 218.2 million check images in June.
About 4,000 financial companies, mostly community banks, use Endpoint, which is operated by M&I's Metavante Corp. M&I Bank joined the network in 2004. (M&I Corp. plans to spin Metavante off next quarter.)
