Metavante Technologies Inc. has agreed to resell check scanners made by Panini North America Inc.
Panini, a Dayton, Ohio, unit of Panini SpA of Turin, Italy, said Metavante would offer its VisionX scanner to banking clients that offer remote capture services to customers or use branch capture systems to handle deposited checks.
Panini's scanners have been certified to work with the Milwaukee banking technology company's Direct and SendPoint imaging products.
In Panini's press release last week, Paul Danola, the president of Metavante's image solutions unit, called the VisionX "an integral component of a complete" image capture application.
