The automated teller machine maker NCR Corp. said its earnings from continuing operations will be 91 cents to 96 cents a share this year, after it spins off the Teradata division this month.
Excluding certain items, such as restructuring, tax, and environmental costs, profit would be $1.15 to $1.20 a share, the Dayton, Ohio, company said Monday.
Teradata, in a separate announcement, forecast 2007 revenue growth of 7% to 9% from last year's $1.56 billion. Teradata Corp., which helps customers analyze and store information, is to be spun off Sept. 30 to compete with rivals such as Oracle Corp.
NCR stock was trading at $49.83 a share Monday afternoon, up 1.96% from Friday's closing price. It has gained 42% in the past year. Teradata is to trade on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol TDC.
