PNC GIVES CUSTOMERS SOME POP
PNC Bank and First Hawaiian Bank went live last month with person-to-person transfers, allowing customers to send money from their online or mobile banking app using the recipient's email address, mobile, or bank account number. The application, called POPmoney, comes from vendor CashEdge.
SPAM 'GODFATHER'S' IN THE BIGHOUSE
Alan Ralsky and three accomplices have been jailed for their role in an email fraud scheme resulting in the theft of $2.7 million. Called the 'Godfather of SPAM," Ralsky - who was sentenced to four years - used a botnet to distribute emails promoting stocks, then profited by trading in the touted stocks.
