Santander Unit's System Deal

Santander Financial Services Inc. in San Juan, Puerto Rico, has licensed an automated credit and risk management system from Automated Financial Systems Inc. in order to streamline its lending processes.

AFS in Exton, Pa., said last month that Santander would use the AFSCommerce consumer lending system in its 70 branches in Puerto Rico.

The Pennsylvania company said it is working on system installation with Advanced Computer Technologies of San Juan, which provides a range of services to Santander.

Santander is a unit of Banco Santander Central Hispano SA of Madrid.
