Yet another bank is expanding its use of imaging technology for corporate cash management services.
Bank of the West, a $4.8 billion-asset institution, will begin offering corporate customers imaged checks on-line or on CD-ROM using software from IA Corp. of Emeryville, Calif.
Since 1994, the bank has been using the company's CheckVision software to send retail customers imaged statements. The two new modules - CheckScan CD and CheckScan Online - will allow the bank's corporate customers to have access to images of their canceled checks on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis.
Corporate clients can also use the on-line module, which links to a Windows-based personal computer, to do research reports and retrieve check images for the most recent 45 days worth of payments.
