Total System Services Inc. said Wednesday that it has promoted two executives, including one who run its global payment services group.
Kelley Knutson has been promoted to group executive for global services. He was the managing director of TSYS Europe. He will be based in London.
Bruce Bacon has been promoted to chief marketing and sales officer for the Columbus, Ga., processor. He had been group executive of TSYS' international division since 2002. Before that he had been the managing director for TSYS Europe.
"Both men bring special skills that will help us achieve our goals," Gaylon Jowers Jr., the executive vice president of international and business expansion for TSYS, said in a press release Wednesday.
TSYS, which is majority owned by Synovus Financial Corp., began putting more emphasis on Europe late last year by creating TSYS Managed Services EMEA, a joint venture with Merchants Ltd., a U.K. unit of Dimension Data PLC of Johannesburg.
The venture is meant to strengthen TSYS' operations in Europe and improve its appeal to local prospective clients.
