Veterans United Selects Ellie Mae's Mortgage Software

Veterans United Home Loans has selected Ellie Mae's (ELLI) mortgage automation system.

The Columbia, Mo., lender plans to deploy Ellie Mae's Encompass360, which lets users originate, close and manage mortgage loans, after testing the service for a year, the companies said Wednesday.

Veterans United, which serves active and retired members of the military, financed roughly $3.3 billion in loans last year.

"When we look to bring in new partners, those decisions are always made with our customers as top priority," Leigh Ann Wanserski, Veterans United's chief operating officer, said in a press release. "We absolutely have to ensure the home buying process will be faster and easier — that's what we are hoping to see."

Veterans United selected Ellie Mae's service under a pricing plan that lets the lender pay for the software based on the number of loans it closes each month.

"Being selected by a discerning lender like Veterans United speaks volumes about the confidence they have in Ellie Mae and the advantages that our [subscription] model combined with success-based pricing bring to a business," Jonathan Corr, Ellie Mae's chief operating officer, added.

Veterans United has 24 offices in 22 states.
