Though mobile-banking users predominately check their account balances using their mobile devices, many also partake of a number of other banking services, according to Bruce Cundiff, director of payments research and consulting at Javelin Strategy and Research, a Pleasanton, Calif.-based research and consulting firm. "The active present mobile-banking user goes beyond checking balances," he said Monday at SourceMedia's Mobile Commerce Summit in Las Vegas. Most mobile-banking users, 64%, check account balances, while 33% pay bills, 31% monitor transactions and 27% transfer funds among accounts, he said.
