ControlScan is providing online payments security for ConvergenceHealth's digital- and cloud-based healthcare software and services.
ControlScan's service provides Payment Card Industry data security standard compliance for ConvergenceHealth by handling payment card data outside of the application environment, the Atlanta-based payments security provider states in a May 21 press release.
ConvergenceHealth developers retain control of the payment workflow, allowing them to specify how the application interacts with the online customer, ControlScan says.
ControlScan's hosted payment solution "is a perfect fit for our business and technology development model" because it doesn't weigh down ConvergenceHealth's established processes, Jeff Aaron, ConvergenceHealth's CEO, states in the press release.
Enterprise technology developers such as Nevada-based ConvergenceHealth often have difficulty attempting to incorporate secure online payment functions because they are unfamiliar with payment development tools or cannot modify the interface for a specific brand or design, ControlScan says.
Kevin Lee, ControlScan's president of hosted payment solutions, says the technology partnership with ConvergenceHealth "represents the future of online customer interaction and ecommerce offerings."
ConvergenceHealth's health and wellness systems currently reach more than 40 million users for clients that include premiere U.S. health insurance companies, benefit providers, Fortune 500 employers and the federal government of Mexico, the release states.
