Paymate Extends Voucher Distribution In India

Mobile-commerce firm PayMate India says it will work with India-based Internet service provider Sify to make PayMate's gift vouchers available to consumers at Sify Internet-browsing centers. Customers can use the vouchers to make purchases with more than 3,000 online merchants. "This is to allow the uncarded and unbanked to shop online and at PayMate-affiliated retail outlets," Ajay Adiseshann, PayMate India managing director, tells CardLine Global. Earlier this year, PayMate said it would offer Indians living in the United States the chance to use the company's GiftMate mobile gift voucher (CardLine Global, 10 April).
