Suspects in these incidents are thought to have tracked courier shipments of the cards by computer so they could grab the packages shortly after delivery, according to the reports.
The police became aware of the scheme after being alerted by neighbors who were suspicious of a man hanging around the neighborhood, and later seen on home security video taking packages.
