TransFirst, a Hauppauge, N.Y.-based independent sales organization, has expanded a referral agreement with New York Community Bancorp Inc. to include the bank’s recent acquisitions of Cleveland-based AmTrust Bank and Phoenix-based Desert Hills Bank, and to offer more services, TransFirst says.

The five-year TransFirst merchant-referral agreement now includes all 278 branches of the Westbury, N.Y.-based bank’s companies. TransFirst provides a centralized transaction-reporting system, processing services and support through the agreement. The two companies have worked together since 2001.
