Trustwave Emphasizes Partnerships with New Exec Appointment

Data security vendor and researcher Trustwave has appointed company veteran Michael Petitti as senior vice president of global alliances.

In his new role, Petitti will be responsible for global alliance partnerships, payment services programs, payment card industry relationships, compliance and strategies.

"Some of the biggest and best companies in the business team with Trustwave, not only for PCI compliance but also for tools that go beyond the traditional check-box approach to security," Petitti said in a press release last week.

The key moving forward will be in helping alliance partners and the payments industry "shift to a security-centric model for constant, cost-effective protection beyond basic compliance requirements," Petitti added.

Over the past 13 years, Petitti has led various teams at Trustwave. Since 2011, he has been the executive director of the Asia-Pacific region, responsible for the company's operations, sales and delivery of services in the region. Previously, he was Trustwave's chief marketing officer.

Petitti was also on the board of advisors and the board of directors of the Merchant Risk Council.

"With Mike's focus on the success of our alliance partners, Trustwave is in an even greater position to help credit card processors, acquiring banks, independent sales organizations (ISOs) and card brand owners worldwide elevate their security posture and streamline the compliance process," Robert J. McCullen, Trustwave chief executive officer and president, stated in the release.
