USA Technologies has added a Web service called QuickConnect, which helps developers and original equipment manufacturers use the vendor's ePort Connect platform for accepting card payments.
The QuickConnect service is meant to allow easier cashless payments regardless of the hardware being used.
"QuickConnect is intended to drive connections to our ePort Connect service by streamlining the process by which OEMs and developers can easily point their devices and applications to our service," said Cary Sagady, USA Technologies' senior vice president of network solutions and product management, in a press release.
"Where our ePort [software development kit] enabled third-party manufacturers or developers to embed an interface to USAT's ePort Connect service, now these programmers have the option to implement the API (application programming interface) Web service in their code, thus speeding up time to market and reducing certification cycle time," Sagady said.
