Viewpointe has released the Viewpointe ACH Originator Compliance Self-Assessment, a tool for businesses that use automated clearing house payments to assess their compliance with network rules.
The Web-based product includes a series of customizable modules, with questions based on the obligations of originators under rules set by Nacha, the electronic payments association. The tool will be updated to reflect changes Nacha makes—for example, Nacha recently issued new guidance to accommodate the growth of
Viewpointe also offers an online ACH Originator education suite, a set of presentations that provide training on Nacha's rules.
"Today, many institutions rely on written materials to meet their obligations to educate originators," says Alexandria Andreeff, Viewpointe's vice president, in a release. "However, there is no way that they can determine whether the material is understood, or even read. Our offering gives institutions a simple, online method for assessing originators' progress with the material, while also providing the originators a guide for understanding their own."
