Citigroup Hires Motorola Exec Christy Wyatt for Consumer Tech Leadership Role

Citigroup (NYSE:C) has hired a Motorola executive to lead the technology teams responsible for the Internet, mobile and ATM channels for its consumer businesses globally.

The New York bank said Thursday that Christy Wyatt will join it as global head of consumer ebusiness and mobile technology on Aug. 1. She will work closely with Tracey Weber, managing director of consumer and Internet mobile banking in North America.

Wyatt was most recently a senior vice president and general manager for Motorola Mobility's Enterprise Business Unit. Her prior roles included software and services product management at Motorola and director of worldwide developer relations at Apple (AAPL).

"Christy's 16 years of experience in the mobile technology industry and her client focus will be invaluable at Citi as we work to create the world's premier digital bank with the best customer experience across all channels and products," Mark Torkos, Citi's chief information officer for Global Consumer Banking, said in a news release.
