French Market Regulator Adopts SAS Market Surveillance Tool

French market regulator Autorité‎ des Marché‎s Financiers (AMF) has adopted a new market surveillance tool by business analytics software provider SAS.

AMF equity analysts will use the SAS Enterprise Case Management service to manage alerts and investigations, according to a Tuesday press release. The company also plans to use the service for bond markets, market book orders and market manipulation scenarios.

AMF has used SAS tools to develop fraud detection systems for over twenty years, according to the release.
