A Day in the Life of Credit Unions

Twenty-two years ago this week, Elton John's "Candle in the Wind 1997" topped the charts and "I Know What You Did Last Summer" ruled the box office while "Cold Mountain" was climbing the New York Times bestseller list. At the same time, Credit Union Journal launched A Day in the Life of Credit Unions, a photo essay showcasing some of the work credit unions do day in and day out. Whether that's prepping the branch for the day or interacting with members or hosting dignitaries, for more than two decades this feature has run each year in conjunction with International Credit Union Day as a way to celebrate the magic of the credit union difference in action.

Read on for a sampling of this year's submissions. And for an in-depth look at how the day-to-day business of running a credit union has changed in that time, be sure to read today's cover story, available here.
