SmartWorks, introduced Tuesday, is an online counterparty-management system for banks and other corporations. It gives users access to Accuity's database of counterparty and payments information through a simplified interface, and can be configured to match a bank's specific needs, the company said.

SmartWorks is currently available to Accuity's existing clients, and will be offered to new clients in early 2014, once new features are added, Accuity said.

"SmartWorks represents the realization of the vision we had when Bankers Almanac and Accuity came together at the end of 2011," Hugh Jones, Accuity's chief executive, said in a news release. "This powerful new solution provides trusted and proactive information through revealing and insightful functionality and delivers a tailored and flexible experience for our complete range of customers."

Accuity was once a sister company to SourceMedia.
