Citigroup named Barbara Desoer chief operating officer of its banking subsidiary and said she will "deepen" a male-dominated management bench. Desoer, one of the industry's most prominent women, retired from Bank of America in 2012 after her duties were gradually diminished.

Bank of America has officially finished swallowing Merrill Lynch. The country's second-largest bank on Tuesday merged its Merrill subsidiary into its main unit, almost five years after buying the investment bank at the height of the financial crisis.

Bank of America (BAC) has appointed a wealth management executive to lead its Denver operations.
Jodi Rolland is the new market president for Denver and state president for Colorado, the bank announced Tuesday. She succeeded Robert Likos, who left the company, a spokeswoman said.
Rolland had beena regional market executive for Merrill Lynch U.S. Wealth Management, where she led the unit's activities in 12 states in the Midwest and South and oversaw 950 financial advisors and more than $90 billion in client assets. She joined Merrill Lynch in 1993.
"As market president, [Rolland]'s extensive experience and leadership will guide her and her team in serving our clients and the Denver community," B of A CEO Brian Moynihan said in the news release.
