Apple Pay's move to the Web is exactly what Vantiv had in mind when launching Vantiv
The Cincinnati-based payment processor and technology provider is supporting Apple Pay on websites, allowing e-commerce merchants to set up single-touch checkout for customers shopping with the
“For merchants, Apple Pay on the Web is a game changer,” Sayid Shabeer, vice president of merchant product at Vantiv, said in a press release. “By making it easier for customers to provide payment and shipping information to websites, e-commerce merchants have the opportunity to significantly reduce abandoned shopping carts and appeal to a larger customer base, which boosts top line sales.”
In addition to supporting Apple Pay e-commerce payments, Vantiv also established the free Vantiv ONE Apple Developer Community, stemming from its TechTribe portion of the ONE program. The community will provide technical and support resources for developers integrating Apple Pay in-app or web-based payments through various Vantiv payment platforms.
In addition, the Vantiv Mobile Accelerator Program for Apple Pay will help merchants and independent software vendors already processing with Vantiv to quickly adapt to Apple Pay software.
Vantiv is also offering Vantiv eProtect tokenization services for those integrating Apple Pay onto Web platforms.
